    My wife called Amazon and elevated the issue to the manager. At first the customer service rep tried to extend our prime membership by a month and give us a $15 credit. Wife told them while she appreciated the gesture she did not feel it was reasonable given the circumstances that this is a trusted vendor with good reviews, and that there appeared to be dishonest business practices going on. She further explained that this vendor operated under the Amazon flag and thus we trust them to honor their listed prices when items are in stock. She essentially explained that this transaction erodes our trust in Amazon. She requested to be escalated to a manager. The customer service rep agreed and a manager came online within a few minutes hold time.

    After explaining everything over again to the manager, they agreed fairly easily to provide a Amazon Gift card in the amount of the difference of price from the next vendor which was about $128 --- so we ended up with a gift card in the amount of about $109 and the item is being shipped!

    It pays to be persistent.

    (EDIT: it took two separate phone calls; first call resulted in Amazon trying to contact the vendor)

    Press 2, Then press 1 (I think was the combo)

    On the first call they emailed the vendor Unbeatable Sales Inc. The vendor replied back promptly that they "had the incorrect item in stock so the wrong item would have been shipped"

    Once we got that reply we called customer service for further resolution as we felt this was a shady excuse from the vendor.

    Give em' hell boys.

    If you walk into any reputable box store, grab an item off the shelf, cashier charges you more than the price tag, point it out to them, they'll honor the price and fix the tag for future customers.

    Price of doing business when you place shit on Amazon for sale, make Damn sure you know what the price is you want to sell it for....call it what you want.

    When the first customer rep said their policy is not to match the price difference my wife asked to see it in writing. The customer service rep said they don't have it in writing or could not provide it. Welp.......here's your sign.
