Dang...gone for a couple days and I miss out on all kinds of stuff. I contacted Amazon and they pretty much told me to go fly a kite with a $10 gc. I said to just keep your effin $10 gc...whatever. I had a feeling it was too good to be true! Glad smitty99 got it to work in their favor.
I was going to go the route of cancelling prime account but my wife would have none of that. LOL.

No, it's the consumer's responsibility to accept that if a price was listed in error, all parties are able to walk away with no harm done instead of forcing a third party seller to honor a price mistake which would actually cost them money. The fact that you think you're entitled to be able to force a third party seller to lose money just so you can take advantage of a theft tactic is pathetic. Ethics are lost on you.

I was berated for saying this exact same thing a few months ago when someone complained that an online vendor wouldn't "honor" their mistake in pricing and cancelled the order instead.

    Sure

Please explain how the third party seller loses money. The coupon was issued from Amazon for the difference in price between the advertised and the next lowest price from another seller. Rule 1 on Amazons marketplace list is honor your sale or purchase. Rule 1. That's the first rule. Wouldnt it be unethical for Amazon to ignore their own rules? But hey ethics are lost on me anyway. I bet you use big words like "snowflake" and "triggered" a lot in your daily life too.

If a third party seller honors their commitment to sell using the price identified through Amazon's pricing algorithm when that algorithm has failed, they may possibly lose money by selling well below their cost, as in this case. Amazon lists these rules oversimplified. Of course it's not black and white. How naive. There is a justifiable reason for cancelling as a seller using a "Pricing Error" reason. This wouldn't be a reason if it was a violation of their rules. And yes, failing to grasp the concepts presented does signal a lost cause for yourself and many others here due to poor character/class/ethics. For some, this is also made very apparent outside of this thread as well.

While I am on your side here it is interesting that rather than state the price was listed incorrectly as a reason to cancel the sale, the vendor claimed the item was not in stock.

That is possible due to mismatched product numbers. IE: Item A is part number 123. Item B is part number 1234. Item A price is half of Item B. However, Item B is showing an alternate part number as 123. Seller doesn't have Item B but Amazon is displaying their Item A as Item B, but priced at A.

I've had this happen personally with a Stereo. Newest Stereo was showing from 1 seller as almost half price. I purchased it and seller ended up having to cancel, indicating what I thought I ordered was not in stock. I asked for clarification and they indicated what they intended to sell was not what it listed as and they didn't even carry what I was looking for.

Not saying that is the case here, it may be the seller chose a dishonest justification and in that case shame on them.

Exactly that's one of the issues we took with how the vendor handled it. Amazon claims the vendor claims to have made a price mistake. Vendor emailed me a different story. So who's being dishonest and who's lacking ethics here?

If you look an Amazon right now they are available for $139 on Prime (+tax if charged in your state), but if you click on all buying options there is a 3rd party vendor that has it for 131.95 with free shipping and no tax if anyone here absolutely needs one.

ETA: Just saw the price on the 400p previously mentioned. Probably a better overall deal.
