I also read Snoboarders posts/theory regarding the front diff being missalligned.

So, with these vibes, if I just get used to them, will it be something that will be determental to the truck?

take out the diff drop and the cb drop, then go forward. when i did my lift i did not put anything at first. i had vibes then put shims on and it made it worse, then the cb drop and vibes were gone. do the "vibe fixes" one at a time to see what is helping and what is making it worse.

    Congrats on getting the lift!

I'm in no way an expert on this, but I've done a considerable amount of research and have developed my own perspective on how to move forward troubleshooting. A few things come to mind, none of which are necessarily meant to be done at the same time, or necessarily relate to one another:

    1. If the vibes are in the seat, regardless of what the mechanic says, I think the rear of the truck is the source. To me it at least provides a good place to start looking. Makes me second guess this though since the vibe goes away in 4x4, although I can still see this being the case.

    2. As Chris4x4 and others have mentioned, remove the diff drop. Personally, I'd rather add/modify parts to fix a problem rather than add/modify parts to try to prevent a problem from happening to begin with. To me, doing the latter can only inject other variables into the equation.

    3. Experiment with the CB drop. Try the CB drop by itself, try it with some axle shims, try axle shims w/o CB drop. Obviously taking note of different scenarios yield which results. Sometimes axle shims remove the vibes, and adding the CB drop makes things worse. The CB drop is SIMPLE to install, nothing needed other than a wrench, I did it in the parking lot, took 5 minutes.

    4. Check the U Bolts, make sure there is a fairly even amount of threads showing all around (opposed to the front side of the axle bolts showing more thread than the back side, potentially rotating the axle, likewise for more threads rear of the axle).

    5. Make sure the U Bolts are all tight. Should be easy, don't know the torque specs off hand though.

    6. Try lowering the front 5100's to .85 or 1.75. See if the vibe improves. If it does, then the vibes are likely from the front.

Again, I'm no expert. I've just done a lot (let me reiterate, A LOT) of reading on issues, potential issues, suggested fixes, etc. Not all necessarily pertaining to my own setup or issues that I am even experiencing.

    Good luck!

Yea, I feel like by the end of all this, I will be an expert as well. I am going to continue to read and try various things until its right. I am going to take the diff drop off and see where that gets me first.

I am super happy with the looks and have noticed a few heads turning to look (always a good feeling).
