Vibrates when accelerating - hub u-joint or what

I have seen old posts about this but nothing recent. To recap briefly, my 2007 Tacoma vibrates (varying intensity) as I accelerate. If I lift off the gas it stops and usually does not return until the next shift. The old posts talked about whether it was u-joints or hubs (bearing hubs?). A few talked about the drivetrain,but those symptoms did not seem to be quite the same as my Tacoma is experiencing. Thoughts anyone?
