I've owned my 2011 DCSB 4x4 for about 7 months. When I bought the truck I took it to my local guy for a check out. He said I needed a center support bearing so they installed one. After that I still had a vibration. That's when I found Tacoma World, so after reading I went back and had 3 Spicer ujoints installed. Still had vibration so after more reading I checked my front drivers side axle and it was loose as a goose so I had the ECGS bushing installed. Vibration was better but still there. After more reading I checked my paperwork and saw that the center bearing that was installed first was a Dorman and the guys on TW said that was worthless. Also I had read all of the TSB's. One of those showed where Toyota had redesigned the rear trans mount to lower the flange to help with vibration. So I bought the new trans mount, I bought the Toyota center support bearing and took the truck to a Driveline Service shop for install and balance of the driveshaft. Those guys knew all about these vibration problems with the Taco's and said it's almost always in the balance. They said that they have re-balanced brand new Tacoma driveshafts and they would be out of balance. Anyway after install of the new parts and balance the truck drives great and no more vibration. I'm glad to say that problem is behind me and I never would have be able to get this done without Tacoma World. So "Thanks" to everyone.

I'm searching out a shop that is familiar with the vibration as well. I have narrowed down my vibration to the drive line with much help from all of @gearcruncher's posts and threads. When I called a local "drive line" shop and even took my truck in for their opinion they said i needed new rotors and that my carrier bearing had a little play which would cost $538. They also said that they only re balance drive shafts if someone hit something.

I have a feeling that like your situation an OEM carrier bearing and drive shaft balance would probably do the trick.

Glad you got it figured out.

I used Drive Line Service of N Atlanta, they are a national chain.

Second time I've interacted with a TW member living in Georgia today... Weird!
