I just updated the stock suspension on my reg cab with 5100s and 3rd gen coils and leaf packs. I got about 1.5 inches of lift in the front. After installation I initially had the infamous vibration/growl between 35-45mph. Then I installed the ECGS bushing which got rid of the vibration and now I have the same noise although significantly less between 55-60mph. Noise goes away when I put it in neutral and coast at that speed. What else could be going on here? Do I have a bad CV axle? Everything looks fine no leaking grease or gear oil.

Anyone else experience vibration after ECGS bushing?

By no means am I an expert, but I've read a lot of threads and my understanding is for vibrations there isn't always a one-size-fits-all answer. Sometimes this stuff gets tricky. Even if you think you "hear" the vibration from one location it might not be there. It can be maddening.

If you think your noise/vibes are coming from the front it could be a wheel bearing, something with the ECGS bushing, or something in the rear making it seem like it's up front. Something to consider: the rear driveshaft center support bearing. Assuming you aren't driving 60mph in 4WD, your neutral coasting test says once you unload the driveline it goes away. When you put in D and load the driveline it comes back. Could be the driveshaft changing angle slightly under load and tweaking the center bearing. Plus if you lifted and didn't adjust it, well...

My experience with the ECGS bushing: I installed when I lifted. I never had vibes or noises with the OEM needle bearing, but figured I'd do it as future-proofing. I don't have a vibration per se, but at 40mph I get a brief harmonic humming from my driver front area. I replaced wheel bearings at the same time with the high-quality ones from 05Taco4x4 so I know it isn't those, and the CV looked and felt good. I think mine is just a harmonic resonance but who knows. Could be a CV but I don't care, running it until it breaks.

    Good luck chasing the vibes!

Does the vibration/noise disappear when in 4wd or does it get worse?
Does the vibration/noise come and go if you zig zag down the road?
What do your CV axle angles look like?
