2018 4WD DBL CAB Stock no lift!

Bought a couple weeks ago and now I see why someone else traded it in...

    Anyway here are the symptoms.

I'm getting a vibration buzz when I step on the accelerator.

This occurs in low cruising RPMs under load. I step on the gas and I get a buzz. I let of the gas the buzz goes away instantly.

    Here's a scenario.

Driving on the highway going about 65mph-70mph at 1800-2000 RPMs and I get a buzz when I have my foot on the pedal. I shift down into S4, RPMs jump to about 3,000 RPMs and it's smooth as butter. I shift into 5th and buzz becomes noticeable. Shift into 6th and it gets worse.

Driving on the side streets it's essentially the same except it will occur at lower MPH but at the same RPM range. Shift into S4 at 45mph and I will get the same buzz as if I was in 6th grade at 65mph.

Low RPM under load vibration in the 1800-2000 RPM range.

    I'm thinking torque converter.

    Any thoughts?

I have 58,000 on the odometer. I'm hoping the dealer will take care of any drivetrain work but I'm sure I will get the old "it's normal" excuse.

This is definitely not normal. I'm a car guy and I rebuild classic cars. I know my way around cars and I know there is something clearly wrong.

Could be the the needle bearing on the front diff. Find a good location and try 4H. If the vibration changes behavior, good chance it's the needle bearing.

Sounds like when your torque converter goes into lock up is when it starts. I would look at the torque converter.

I'm in Phoenix in the heat hating my life with a vibrating Tacoma. I'll be headed up in a few weeks with my 2001 Silverado because I literally hate driving this thing.

Or if still under the dealers warranty you bought the truck from, have them fix it.
