Does anyone else notice vibrations in the gas pedal at different speeds? This may be normal but I find it happening more often.

I test drove a Tacoma today (17' Limited) that had 4 miles on the OD. It had noticeable vibration in the pedal and steering wheel when accelerating from 15-30mph or so. I drove one last week that I did not notice anything on. After my test drive I told the sales guy about it. He brought another Limited that had 100 miles on it (new) and I did not notice any vibration.

@ 500 miles on my 17 DCLB Auto TRD Off Road i removed the gas pedal actuator and wrapped the back and sides with some Dynamat i had leftover from an old speaker install. Very pleased with my results and while the vibes are still there it seriously dampened the frequency of the buzz. About 5 days later and i am no longer hyper sensitive to the incident. I had been researching my purchase for a year so i was well aware of this incident and picked up on it the first full day i drove it. No more toe tickling! I also applied the material to the bare bulkhead behind the pedal assembly.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Ended up test driving another one that didn't have any noticeable vibration. That's the one I took home

Mine seems to do this a little sometimes, been noticing it more now that the temps have dropped. Wondered if what I see you have done was an option, I will def give this a try! My main concern was if I took the pedal off what Inwould mess up, was concerned that the threaded stud for the bolt would not be fixed to the body but looks like it is!

dont over tighten the nuts when re installing and youll be fine. dont turn ignition on with pedal disconnected and you wont set any faults. 31k and still happy.

I took my truck in because I feel it in the steering wheel and gas pedal yet the Dealer tells me it is normal for the truck to vibrate. I notice it over in the 1500rpms maybe???

it is normal in the sense that a lot of these trucks do a bit but they don't all do it, is it acceptable, not exactly. your dealer sounds like a bunch of lazy ppl, of course they may have attempted to address this in the past for others without success.

moments ago i took my gas pedal off, which took 3 minutes, then took a piece of paper and trace the outline of the pedal, cut it out as a ghetto template and cut an old thin yoga mat piece to match it, put it under the pedal where it was simply held in place by the two studs for the nuts, put pedal back on and the pedal vibes seem better right away. i didn't even go as far as unplugging the electronic connection as there was plenty of room to work. a very simple thing you could try for possibly no cost if you have something you can put under the pedal that will absorb the vibes. time will tell if this really works. i suspect i will end up pulling the carpet and using some dynomat on the whole driver side floor eventually.

Hey 02TRDXTRA, I’ve been having the same problems too with my 18’ Tacoma Off Road, I also live on LI, would you be able to help me fix this on my truck as well?

I feel a buzz in the gas pedal in my '18 TRD Sport. It seems to be in the 1800-2500 RPM range, under light to moderate acceleration. It doesn't happen all the time, but definitely seems more likely when I'm driving on an uneven road or hit a slight bump. Feel it in first gear and even on the interstate in sixth gear.

Can anyone hear whatever is causing the vibration? At first I was thinking it was in my head, but I actually got a technician at the dealership to hear it (he didn't feel the vibration though). It's a hard sound to describe, but sounds a little bit like a scratching sound. They, of course, looked it over and said they couldn't find anything and to monitor to see if it continues ... thanks ...

32 inch BFG KO2. Pedal commander. Fixed pedal vibration with Dynamat :). MESO customs interior lights. Bed cover. Predator step bars. Cement. Supernova LED lights. Raptor lights.
Did the Dynamat thing and it worked. Took about an hour total Bc I was precise with my cuts. Amazon has all the Dynamat you need and more for 17$

Some members have secured the auto trans shift cable from rubbbing which got rid of vibrations

Dynamat doesn't do much to absorb vibration. It increases mass where lack of mass increases noise, as in spans of unsupported sheet metal.

Sorbothane is what you want for absorbing vibrations.

Sorbothane is pricey. Be cheaper to cut a dime-sized slot in the floor and label it "Magic Fingers - 10 Cents". Tell people you hacked it and now it's free.

    My '18 Sport doesn't vibrate.

Do you have pictures of how you applied it and where? Is it just like the guy that wrapped his in dynamat?
