I recently installed a leveling kit and bigger tires on my taco(285/75/16 to be exact) and I've had a steering vibration from 40-55 mph but I can't figure out whats causing it. I did have it aligned after all that was done so I don't think its alignment. Also my tires aren't showing any uneven wear so I haven't been able to figure out what it is. Any ideas on what it could be?

Hmmmm....new tires and a lift and now a vibration....do a search and you can spend the rest of the day reading about vibrations, shudders, wandering, and all manner of problems associated with lifts and new tires, and dozens of opinions on how to "fix" them. Or, you can take it to a reputable repair facility and get it fixed (maybe). Grab your wallet, modding ain't cheap, but ya gotta love your new "look".

That wasn't the question, and I personally don't care one way or the other.

If your new wheels are lug-centric then you need to get them road force balanced. "Regular" balancing is for hub-centric wheels only.

Swap front tires to the rear one side at a time go for a drive each time you swap them see if any thing changes might help pin point an issue.

Who did the installation of the 'mods'? Start there, take it back to them if it wasn't you.

What kind of places do road force balancing? Can I find just a tire shop that offers it?

Road force balancing is BS! Most shops around here don't have it. My local dealer does, and the screwed my tires all up trying to balance them. Went to another store and they balanced them just fine. It's TW snake oil, just like the ECGS bushing on a 4x4.
I would check and see if they knocked some weights off the wheel when doing the spacer. Also, depending on the type of spacer you used, the hockey puck style most people use compress the spring making the springs stiffer and might cause some slight vibration. Should've have just got Bilstein adjustable 5100's instead of shitty spacers.

Yes just call around. If they don't know what it is then hang up on them.
