I struggled with this for quite a while. Turns out to be be a misfire caused by bad plugs

I replaced my torque converter from the issue I was having earlier in this thread. No more shudder.

This recently started on my 2006 with ~ 180K miles. From 25-45 was shuddering under acceleration. I greased the zerk fittings on the three universal joints on the driveshaft. This fixed the issue.

Just started having the exact same problem on my 2016 last Thursday afternoon. Only happens when the engine is warm. I get a "bounce" at around 30 mph, then at around 40 mph I get what I call a "cheese grater" shake for a few seconds. I have it at an independent shop now. He said all 5 U-joints were shot, and he's also replacing the carrier bearing. I'll report back here whether this fixes it for me.

If you have an auto trans drive it in 4th and try to duplicate the issue. If the problem goes away then it's most likely your torque converter. Not sure on 2016's though

Yes, auto transmission. The "cheese grater" was only happening in 4th. Ended up being the U-joints and the carrier bearing, plus the front drive shaft yoke.
