Time to chime in on this damn topic. Bought my truck with 30k miles, stock 245 Dunlops/OEM 16 x 7.5 rims, no vibration...

Bought new 265 Wildpeaks/16x8 rims, (typical cheapo balancing) then had vibration between 20-40MPH and 50+. Had them road force balanced, vibration was worse.

Had them exchanged for a new set of Wildpeaks, vibration is only there now from 50-60MPH. Added 3/16" washer to drop the carrier bearing (due to the slight increase in tire size), still vibration... Starting to think I need to just deal with the vibes!

Has anyone here tried a custom driveshaft with a CV after the carrier bearing? I can't help but feel that the factory 60mph steering/accelerator wobble is actually coming from before the driveline, but manifesting itself further back.

Did anyone ever figure this vibration problem out?

my vibes are getting worse.. But its more of a drone sounding vibe... but, its rpm sensitive more than speed sensitive. I feel it worse at about 1800 rpm.. but from 1700 to 2300 I still feel it. Use to only be felt in lockup. now its everywhere. I can feel it passing trough that rpm under very light load in 3rd and 4th.. then when it locks up at 45, its about 2000 rpm but I can slow down a little without it unlocking and I feel it more a little more with just enough load before it unlocks, then in 5th lockup at 60 mph, it really kicks in hard at 1800 rpm. nobody seems to have a clue. And its hard describing vibrations to people. even on here, we all talk vibration, but everything is different as to what kind of vibration it is. Mine reminds me of how a phone vibrates. Not a shimmy or a shake. but a vibration that has drone sound associated witih it. Super annoying.

yellow wire mod, mud flap mod, differential breather mod, steering shaft tsb, rear leaf spring tsb
Try running the tire PSI to 30 and see if that helps
