    If you read back you would see that I do have this problem. I have just accepted the fact that yes, it is going to continue to do this. No use getting upset or frustrated over it

    Well said. This isn't just your small weird noise...this is a true issue. 25K miles should NOT have this problem. If the dealerships can't figure it out, then it is a problem.

    just got my cb drop and axle shims today I will be installing them tomorrow hopefully it works if not Ill be looking into a 1 piece driveshaft

    With 57 people saying they have the issue, then I really think Toyota owes us an explanation. All I want to know is WHAT is causing the issue. If Toyota isn't going to fix it, then I will....I just need to know what.

    Interesting find here though. There was an old TSB for the 08 model, for this very issue. Obviously the issue is the same in the 09,10 and 11 models. I sent this TSB (T-SB-0076-08) to the dealership to see what they think about it.

    Rear Differential Whine or Howling Noise at Highway Speeds.

    Some customers may complain of an excessive whine or howling noise from the rear of the vehicle between 50 – 70 mph (80 – 113 km/h) when lightly accelerating or decelerating.

    toytec assface .....I had some washers in there that didnt work these are a little thicker

    yeah. I thought you meant something else when you said inclometer Im just going to go for it if it doesnt work ill read that thread closer and try measuring
