Vibration/noise after clutch change?

    I recently changed the clutch on my 03 tacoma. Thought i did everything by the book. Even resurfaced my flywheel. Now for instance in 2nd gear at low rpm there is a vibration/noise when accelerating for roughly one second. Has any one experienced this problem? It also happens in third and i believe in fourth. I know it has something to do with the clutch because the first time it happened was on the test drive after the clutch change. Any suggestions

    5100's all on fours
    Did they balance the flywheel?

    Check your u-joints also. Had the same issue on my 98 and it turned out to be the one at my rear axle.

    i toook my flywheel to a machine shop to get resurfaced. i didnt think about it getting balanced. i will go back to the shop and ask if they balanced it. i did take all my drive shafts out when i replaced the clutch. but i just removed the 4 bolts on each end of the drive shaft to remove it. i did not remove the u joints. could that still be the issue? thanks for the reply

    Dad used to mess with clutches every now and then and I seem to remember talking about drive shafts need to be "in phase"
    He'd mark them and put them back the way they came out cause if they were 180 degrees out they vibrate.

    Anybody else hear that?

    My bro in law does that but to be honest, I have never had an issue. I could have put them on right without knowing too.

    It is worth a shot. Check your u-joints. If you don't find a bad one, I would suggest Snipe's idea and maybe disconnect the shaft and rotate it.
