    Ok Guys,
    2013 DBL Cab 4500 miles.
This vibration is only in the mornings and lasts about 5 or 6 miles then it clears up. Like only if truck sits a long time.
Very Noticeable vibration that vibrates every 3 or four seconds. Like something that is turning and vibrating on the top side. Got me puzzled.
Its like after it gets lubed it quits.
Got a appointment tue. at dealers.
What should I tell them to look at.
Not enough gear lube in pumpkins?
    Thanks

Increase your tire psi to 36psi. Tries are flat spotting, with factory psi setting of 30lbs. I had same problem. Just posted this on another post today for another member. Dealer could not resolve problem after many trips to them. They balanced, rotated, even changed my wheels and tires, with no results. I thought to myself 30psi, just seems to low. All my other trucks ran 40 to 60psi, 1/2,3/4,&1 tons. Figured I try 36psi in taco and it solved the problem. It even sat for 3 month this winter and no vibs when pulled out this spring.

    Hope this helps.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I'd look at the driveshaft. Just a guess. Tighten rear leaf spring U-bolts, too.

The stock tires are made to get the best mileage and smoothest ride. OOOps just saw the tire size! I still think they are flatspotting!
So it is very likely they are flatspotting overnight and then smoothing out, as they get some spinning going on.
Raising PSI will help just watch it going too high.

I have seen cases where the driveshaft u-joints would bind and cause vibration when cold, then loosen and run smoothly when warmed-up. Once this starts, no amount of grease will fix it. The joints must be replaced.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
I vote flat spots on the tires, too.

Before I sold my CJ-7, the Tacoma would sometimes sit for several days and I'd have the same problem. Increased front tire pressure to 32 PSI and rear to 34 PSI and problem hasn't come back.

Tires set at 40 psi. Still have vib.
Noticed it doesnt start right away maybe after the first half mile then it starts.
Also kicked in neutral on a down hill still got vib.
But when I put in 4 wheel drive it goes away.
Kick it out of 4 wheel comes back.
Then after that 5 or 6 miles goes away completely??????

Are you lifted? The vibration going away in 4WD suggests it's the front differential bushing. Search for ECGS and front differential on the site and it will pull up a master thread (long) about the issue. 99% of the posters say it showed up post-lift, though. I'm not sure if it would be a problem on an unlifted truck.

Are you driving down the same roadway when this happens?

Been there done that - had a vibration that I thought was the truck and it was the road surface. My husband would notice the vibration. As soon as you reach a certain spot on the roadway, it'll clear up.

    Just a thought.....

Wow. Sounds just like my symptoms! I just noticed it a few weeks back, when it started getting pretty cold in the AM. Similar to yours, mine vibrates for about 3-4 seconds, stops for about 8-10 seconds, then cycles through again, for about 10 minutes or so...then it's over. It only does it after the Taco's been sitting for a while (parked overnight, at work all day, etc.). Funny thing is that it does it in D or N...it's also the same whether I'm going fast or slow. The vibe itself doesn't speed up or slow down with the actual truck speed.

I checked my tire pressure and noticed they dropped to 29 PSI all the way around (it was COLD outside). I inflated them to 35, but that didn't work. I removed my CB drop kit, and will see if that does it in the AM. I'm also getting a tire balance and rotation tomorrow, to try and narrow it down. The drive shaft looks good...no signs of leaking, and they're good and snug.

Did you have the same type of vibe (vibe for 3-4 seconds, then nothing for 8-10, then vibe for 3-4 seconds, etc.) when 'cold'?

May have discovered my issue. I have a CB drop kit. I removed it last night and test drove it this morning. The vibe was gone, but I picked up the shutter that drove me to get the drop kit in the first place. I reinstalled it, and BAM...no vibe. Maybe it was loose or off center...not too sure.

I had the same issue.. faster you go the worse the vibration then all of sudden gone. I inflated the tires to 34 and no longer any vibrations :)

Could it be the tires not being broken in? Or the flat spots they develop?

Have you tried putting it in four wheel drive to see if it goes away? Mine did the same thing before I installed an ecgs bushing in my front diff.
