anyone have a similar issue with the dash rattling a little up front by the dash speaker/ ac vent? I can't seem to locate the source.

Apologize in advance if this is common or can be found on search. Delete if so.

Mine does the same thing. I've heard the cabin filter cover starts to rattle but mine appears to be the a pillar trim rubbing on the speaker cover.

Same! Sometimes I can hear it over the radio just because I know it's there!

Try pushing the a pillar in towards the windshield. I did this, and the pillar snapped into place, no more rattle.

Lol my whole truck has started to rattle. I think it is the cover for the tweeter speaker that you are hearing.

Me too. Drives me crazy. I tried putting some paper in between the cover and the A pillar. Unfortunately that didn't work.

The dash skin will eventually start to tap against a metal tab at the top of the dash near the pillar. I took 2 - 1" square pieces of 1/8"rubber, and worked them in between the dash skin and these tabs. 1 on each end of the dash. This keeps it under tension and keeps the dash from tapping against the tab. Rattle gone.

Dealer replaced my tweeter speaker cover I had the same rattle. It lasted about 3 weeks then the new one started to rattle. I pulled it out and covered the edges and tabs with soft cloth tape. This solved the problem. Now if I can get them to figure out why the left front half shaft has vibration after the truck sits for a while I will be happy.

I had a rattle in the same area, thought I had it fixed... now I have the super annoying squeak when going over bumps (no, it's not a cab mount). I've had the A pillar apart and tried felt/lube etc, but the only thing that seems to work is jamming something between the A pillar and the speaker cover. Tearing that thing out for a look next. I mean, I know it's trivial but you can't ignore it either!

Mine did the same thing, but it was actually the glove box tray. I then realized that the entire tray is removable and just took it out, as I never really liked it. Solved my rattle.

Let me know what you find!

Does any one have that trim around the stereo rattle when going over bumps?

I have it, but haven't spent much time trying to figure out exactly what's causing it. I'm taking it to dealer for 5k service this weekend and they're going to take a look. I'll follow-up with their response.

I'm so glad you posted this! I took my hammer fist to everything in that area (A-pillar and dash around the speaker). That stupid rattle is finally gone. Relief :)

Got it too. Brought the truck in last week for other things including the rattle. They said they fixed it but it's still there. Had my friend with me the other day and he grabbed the handle on the A pillar with pressure and it seemed to go away. Once he released it the rattle was back and loud enough to hear over radio.

Thanks for linking this. Took my truck on a 300+ Mile Sunday drive with over 50 of it off-road and some at high speed with lots of washboard, whoops sections from MX rider trails and still no more rattling after what I've listed in that thread. Still quiet today on the road with tires all aired back up, striking potholes and whatever a concrete jungle offers your suspension.
