I have been struggling for the past 4 months with a vibration, Can be felt through the steering wheel starting at 40mph, Tires have been balanced and rebalanced several times, Carrier bearing and u-joints replaced, really feels like a driveline vibration, after about 50 mph it gets much less noticeable, This vehicle is bone stock with no lift, Also removed the rear driveshaft and road tested with no difference felt, Installed the ECGS bushing about 50K miles ago, At wits end with this problem?
    Thanks for any suggestions

    Couple of SWAGs here...

Dragging brakes, with slight rotor warp from heat over 4+ months due to constant dragging?

Some crap stuck between the rim and hub so the rim isn't seated fully flat against the hub?

Try swapping rims front -> back and back -> front?

You could also have a ply/tread separation. Sometimes you can spot those by jacking the vehicle up and looking straight at the tread while you spin that wheel.

Try the easy stuff first. Since you are feeling it in the steering swap the front tires to the rear
and bring the rear to the front. Make sure the wheels are torqued properly using a torque wrench and the appropriate spec. (81 ft. lb.) and sequence. Make sure all tires are inflated to spec. Any change noted during test drive?

Tires have been moved front to rear, No noticeable difference, I for sure feel this is driveline related as it is speed related and not rpm related, Vibration is there at 40mph regardless of engine rpm, Have not checked rotors, Doesn't really feel like a tire vibration as much as a rough bearing vibration?
    Thanks Guys!

So a road test WITHOUT the rear driveshaft resulted in - No Change?
How are the front wheel bearings?

They have no play that i can feel, Also when vibration is present when going around curves cant tell any difference in vibration, I suspected front wheel bearings also.
    Thanks

What about CV joints? Boots look ok? Weeping any grease at the ends? How many miles on them? Sometimes they'll "feel rough" when you're holding the steering wheel.

Both boots look great, No weep anywhere, They are both OE on the vehicle with 114K miles

Absolutely nothing was done, Vibration could possibly have been getting progressively worse and wasnt noticed before?
Any reliable way of checking cv joints?

Phew... this is beyond me, then. However, I saw an interesting case of a Jeep Grand Cherokee exhibiting some of the same symptoms as yours. Plus the driver was complaining of a faint roar along with slight vibration. The Tech had it up on a lift with the tranny in low (auto) & engine running. Long story short, it turned out to be a bone-dry transfer case. Definitely one for the Weird Shit file cabinet, but I thought I'd mention it. I guess I'm out of ideas. Sorry....

Thank you, I have had them balanced several times including road force balancing, could be the tires but at this point don’t know what else to try?
