ok so obviously it was too late and couldnt check what was wrong with it but with time the vibration has increased a little bit ...also, if i accelerate too hard, i can hear more like a cracking sound, dont know how to explain the sound but its not too loud... kind of like when the engine cools down ( metal expension and contarction) but its coming from the rear axle ... like i said not very loud you really have to listen. Also when the truck hits a certain speed it stops making that sound ... im worried and confused what could it be ...

ok ... here is the thing today in the morning i could feel the vibration throughout it increases as the speed increases and i can hear and feel a sound kinda like umnnn tire rubbing to something constantly... but its not rubbing i checked ... when i break it souds the same and vibration increases .... Stupid question but could it be ball bearings ?? or could it be something to do with the breaks ? The truck feels so weak and kind not stable ... i can feel it in the steering wheel too now ...

That could be your brakes if it is constant. Has the braking changed? Does a tire feel like it wants to lock up?

It could also be a wheel bearing.

i think its a wheel bearing ... i know i need new breaks which i am replacing next week .... but its all in the rear nothing much at the front a rear has a drum .. dint think drum makes such a difference ... but i never know maybe its something else ... to me really sounds and feels like bad bearings

Rear wheel bearings rarely go out.

That sounds exactly like mine. Did you get it fixed? Was your truck in an accident?

i so doubt its the drive shaft because i had a 5 series that started vibrating a little then started making knocking sounds and it had a drive shaft issue. This vibration is kinda different than that plus if it was the shaft, the pick and performance would have been a little different. My pick is normal but overall drive comfort and handeling wise is definately not the same ...

does it do it when you turn? Cause if it stops when you turn its your bearings. I had to replace mine. They've had a problem with the front left ones going out.

AAAWWW!! Tw is addictive... The tech actually said told me my problem was coming from the left side when he rode in the truck with me... But that is also the side that took the most damage in the accident. Could that be my prob? So what kind of dollar did that run you replacing the bearings?

Talhas001: Sounds like most of the symptoms you listed when I replaced my bearings. But now I have put a 2.5" spacer lift on the front and a 2" rear block, and it rides like shit now. Def gonna be investing in some Bilstein 1500's in the near future. But yea it felt like the tires were rubbing but when I turned to the right it would go away and it was smooth. They say that if you do watercrossings water gets in the sealed bearings and causes them to go out.

JAG: I ordered the hub assemby from Oreily's auto parts and I wanna say it was like $90. Make sure you get new gaskets with it, mine didn't come with them so I went to the Toyota dealership and bought them for like $5. I did all the work myself and had to take the old assembly to a machine shop to get the old bearing pressed out and had them put the new one in. From what I found out running around town is that most tire shops don't have a press thats strong enough so I had to take it to a machine shop. That cost me like $50. But I had a mechanic quote me close to $500 to do it so not only did I save a shit ton of money I now know how to do the other one. Its not hard here is a link to a tutorial.
    Hope this helps.
