What bugs me more is the center console lid squeaks and the passenger headrest clunks over small bumps when someone isn't sitting there! Oh yeah and no intermittant wipers!!!!!!!!!!!!

bought mine used and got the same thing. initially thought it might be the brakes and rotors (which i need to replace anyway) but after finding a small puddle under the right front strut i am very sure mine is caused from that.

Mine has new rack bushings, ball joints and tie rod ends are good, new tires, fairly new bilstein shocks and struts. My mechanic says carrier bearing is good but thinks it is driveshaft. All joints are greased. IDK?

soon want dual lockers Picture was my 85 dual arb great
98 4cyl 4wd manual 5speed - I have the same problem at 37-58mph. Just installed new michelins and still a problem. Will run engine on stands tomorrow and see if standing still it makes the vibration while on jack stands. May test with front and then rear drive shaft off to reduce shaft from the equation. Happens only under torque. Acell and decell. If I put my foot on clutch at 50mph, keep e ngine at 2000rpm, and coast, no vibration. Any thoughts appreciated.

Was this issue ever resolved? I have the same issue (vibes between 50-70mph).

Here's everything I know of that can cause vibration.

-wheel & tire balance, bent rim, bubbles in tire sidewall
-wheel not seated on hub properly, excessive slag build up on hub
-wheel bearing (would start squealing first)
-drive shaft center support, unbalanced drive shaft, bad u-joints
-bad transmission mount (very common in R, W and A transmissions)
    -bad motor mount
    -bad steering rack bushings
    -bad control arm bushings
-bad sway bar bushings. New ones can cause vibration too if they aren't seated properly.
    -broken cooling fan blade
    -bad differential mount bushings
    -internal transfer case bearings

Thats all I can think of right now. And yes, I've experienced all of these, most of them in my Lexus SC400.

Edit: Almost forgot. Shitty, cheap wheel spacers almost always cause vibration in my experience. Just FYI.
