I was told nothing would be done, they pulled another new truck off the lot to drive and it had the exact same vibrations. Which only tells me that this is a widespread problem, but it gives the service department an excuse not to work on my truck and call it "normal". I'm going to try and pursue this with Toyota.

Lie to them if they let you drive one off the lot and tell them you cannot duplicate the problem.

That is what I did, except the one I test drove didn't do it at all. So I had a unquestionable claim.

The service manager drove it and I was in the passenger seat. I emailed Toyota, just got an email back that a case manager would be in touch with me.

I have a 2019 and have had some problems with mine too. I like the truck but I guess my expectations are higher than some others. I think there's a bit of a QC issue with them at times but I suppose anything is susceptible to problems. There's a lot of good guys on here who will try to help but be prepared for the homers who take it personal when you post an issue.

I agree that it is not normal at all . It just depends on the service dept and how hard you want to fight Toyota to get it fixed . Some dealers are great and well some are horrible . If you didn't lift your truck or bang it into anything then you should complain . Any new truck should and will drive straight down the road with no vibration at any speed . Its unreal that some think it is a truck thing and that makes it normal .

I agree. I get sick of people saying it ok it's a truck. F that, it's my vehicle, my transportation and damn it I'm going to keep it looking new and running in top shape at all times. It's not just a truck it's my property and I will treat it the way I treat all my other personnel possessions.

Not trying to start a disagreement with ya just merely stating that it seems to be both plants not isolated to Texas. Not going to do research on a claim that I didn’t make .

Nice I saw that when I researched before purchasing .. I like car complaints .. good site. However can we agree that the problem most likely isn’t just a Texas plant issue if people have similar complaints from the Baja plant products ?

It seems like it may be an issue from whoever Toyota is sourcing the axles from not so much an assembly plant. Thanks for posting the link!

The link is about 2018 model as well so I thought they may have worked it out since they issued TSB 23 for 17-18 models. According to the TSB they should have fixed this in the assembly line which is why they have vin number start and stop.

Well, since there was mention of vinrations when deceleration, this would make sense if rotors are warped due to bent axles. It seems to be a qc problem experienced at the texas plant, perhaps due to supplier and/or overcapacity which one would hope was resolved in 2018
