If Toyota buys mine back I’ll probably go buy a Chevy Colorado or whatever they are. If this many new Tacoma’s act like this, I don’t want another Toyota vehicle, especially a Tacoma. I used to want one so bad. Now I wanna get rid of it...

My '19 OR with 1300 miles on it started this vibration after I lifted it this weekend (AAL/5160 in back, 6112 in front). Vibration around 20mph noticed under deceleration with or without brakes or gear -- mine is a manual tranny. Interesting that changing the geometry a little resulted in noticing this issue. I haven't had it aligned yet, but I don't suspect that will affect this, but I can hope!

Your problem can be fixed with shims more than likely.

So update...Toyota asked to have another shot at finding and fixing the problem. Upon checking, they noticed one of my rear drums was warped. Replacement coming. This is the reason for my vibrations but this is the third BAD part they've found on my one month old truck... I was told by a friend that had the same problem on his (new at the time) 4-runner years ago was corrected by draining the transmission fluid and having it replaced with a better and more "gritty" fluid as he said. He has 200K miles on it now and said after that the problem when away. I told the shop to look into that so hopefully that might be the fix. We shall see if they choose to try that...

Told you it was a warped drum. Apparently Toyota is having quality control problems from their suppliers.

You were correct on that issue, but that wasn't a fix for my vibrations they said. That was just one more faulty part on the truck they found in searching for my real problem. Ha

I drove another one on the lot like mine (except it’s silver) and it didn’t do it ANYWHERE near the level mine does. Dealership said they would let me trade and would do all they could to help me not lose much money on the trade. I prefer the tan but the silver will do.

I agree, and hopefully the loss isn’t to bad but at this point I’m glad they are doing anything at all because Toyota Corporation refused to do anything at all.

Yep, probably so. Also talked to a sales guy in a nearby (1 hour away) town who has one JUST like mine on the lot and they too said they would see what they can do. I'd rather get another quicksand SR5 but anything will do at this point.

Headed to the dealership in the morning. After Toyota refused to fix my annoying steering vibrations between 20-30 mph, I talked to the dealership and they're willing to let me trade it in for 2,500 more than we financed it for to help me absorb the loss better. That was very nice of them. Getting a silver SR5 that (at least after a 5 mile test drive) doesn't do it ANYTHING like mine. I shopped around and researched ALOT and even though Toyota has its problems, they pail in comparison to the Colorada's, Canyons or the four door Jeeps of any model.

IMG_20190101_121024134_HDR.jpg I would not do it for $2500. Make them absorb the difference. There is enough room in the price to adjust. Now someone is going to get your old truck with vibrations. I bet the dealership just sticks it on the front line for sale and wont touch a thing.

Traded in my problem-ed new Taco for a newer Taco. I’ll miss the quicksand color but silver was my first choice before I knew quicksand existed. It’s growing on me. The dealership did a good job helping me out. In the end I only lost 1K instead of 4K and my monthly bill only went up 20 dollars a month.

After driving several several several new ones at several dealerships I realized they all have a little vibration around 20 mph but NO where as bad as my original. Hopefully one day Toyota will have a complete fix for it. But mine needed replacing bc it was also found to have three bad parts. Guess it was made on a Friday lol

Best of luck with the new one.

You handled it better than I would have.
