That's what the corporate office instructed the dealers to say to avoid the Lemon law.

I've got a 2019 I'm about to buy it's getting a sunroof installed so I've not completed my deal - but the steering wheel has vibration at highway speeds - I'm like you OP I don't expect that from a new truck. I test drove a 2016 in SR5 trim, same truck basically in Quicksand, no wheel vibration at all, I've test driven 2 new ones that both had jacked up alignment and vibrations in the steering wheel. I love the Tacoma but I don't know what the hell plan B is, if they can't fix this. I don't know what else I'm really interested in buying.

DO NOT have a sunroof installed. If you want a sunroof, buy a vehicle that has one from the factory.

My neighbors had a small vibration at higher speeds. The dealer sent his driveshaft out to be rebalanced after some wheel balancing, which didn't help. He got new wheels and tires when he lifted it. Still vibrations, only minor. Some brake recall later and now a driveshaft rebalance. Smooth as glass.

Same here. Taking mine in Friday.

Wonder how much of a loss I'd take if I traded it in for an OR model?

After picking my (Canadian) 19 TRD Sport DCLB from the dealer today the problems seem to be mostly gone now. I made a detailed post somewhere way back in this thread of my symptoms. The TLDR, is that I had the vibrations at various speeds and when decelerating through 30-40km/h felt in the seat and steering wheel. After the dealership worked with Toyota they determined it was the axle hub faces were out of spec. The axles, bearings, and brake drums were replaced. About 30 minutes driving around and getting the shoes bedded in its all very smooth. There is still a faint, faint, audible rumble on a fast deceleration (passing through the 40-50km/h area, but i feel this is more of a minor shake of the driveline and bed when unladen. Previously have 100lbs or more junk in the back it smoothed out this area of vibration significantly. The takeaway here is that theres no vibration present anymore in the steering wheel, pedals or butt.

That's what they told me too. So they did nothing. I wanted to drive it through the showroom floor windows

I was told basically the same thing. "They all vibrate, some more than others."

I'm curious if anyone with these vibrations have gone ahead and done any lifts? My truck is my DD and I drive it so much that I'm noticing the vibrations less probably just mentally tuning them out. I want to add bilsteins with OME coils but I don't want to inflame the whole vibration issue.

I came back with, "so you show me another Tacoma and that fixes my Tacoma?"

What was the response? This is the first PRO I am aware of that the owner admits has this vibration problem. Sorry to hear, but my Limited does the same thing. A 43 K vibrator.

From what I know the vibration is of a harmonic nature transferring from the engine / exhaust mounts to the cabin. I don't think a lift would change this issue. It goes back to 8/15 with no fix.
