    Hello all,

New to the tacoma world previously part of the jeep world. I have a 2016 tacoma trd sport 4x4, the truck has a 6 inch rough country lift (don't hate), 35x12.5x18 Atturo trail blade m/t.

Rewind back a month the truck had the same setup but had 35x12.5x18 nitto trail grapplers. I began noticing vibration in the steering wheel and cab after 53 mph and up. At 50-53 mph I get shaking in the steering wheel left to right, nothing crazy. From 53 to around 70 the vibration is really constant. It doesn't seem to vibrate faster at higher speed just vibrate louder and is felt more. After 70 mph the vibration almost goes completely away after I got the front tires roadforce balanced. The tires had terrible wear on the inside when compared to the outside so I got an alignment. Everything was set to stock specs. The issue appeared maybe a month after this was done. Recently I got new tires and the mechanics stated the drivers rear rim was slightly bent. Took it to another shop and had them look every thing over and they ended up roadforce balancing the front tires which only ended up adding 1/2 and 1/4 ounce. Vibration is still present. The next step they suggested roadforce balancing the rears. He also noted the carrier bearing had some play but nothing crazy. They went through and checked all the lift kit components and all were tight. They were at a loss and could not find anything obvious. So now here I am writing this short novel hoping someone can chime in and give me any leads or confirm going forward with the mechanics suggestions. What gets me is the steering wheel shake at 50 mph.

Does it go away in 4wd? If so you need the ecgs bushing.

Also you probably shouldn’t be aligned to stock specs with a lift. Someone else can chime in with what you need set to.

No it doesn't go away I'm 4wd. I read a few forums about ecgs bushing and from what I saw it pertained to 2nd gens and on that note it doesn't go away in 4wd. The lift kit is a drop bracket so wouldn't it be set to stock settings? Also, since it's vibration I wouldn't think alignment, but im definitely looking at all options.
