    haven't been able to find a solid group on the island, vioffroad is silent, facebook 4x4 groups are temperamental...
    Figured would be worth a shot on tacomaworld :canada:

    any islanders out there?

    I just moved to Nanaimo a couple months ago. Haven't been a big wheeler in the past but hoping that might change a little if some free time becomes available.

    nice, lotsa cool stuff up there i imagine? i tried goin to holyoak lake which isn't too far from nanaimo a couple weeks ago but there was still too much snow to go alone. would be happy to meet up time allows

    Sounds good. Ya i've got two little ones under the age of 4, and a new to us house so the free time lately has been 100% family. Whenever it gets to be sunny for more than 1 day in a row I'm really hoping to get out and about.

    I'm up in Comox if you ever drive up here! I've wheeled mine fairly hard for a bit but the maintenance game gets tiring after a while so i'm trying to push more exploration these days!     Being relatively new to the island, do y'all have a recommendation for shops for suspension work? In the spring I'll probably be looking at new tires. Figure if I'm gettting new, no better time to go up a size, and if you're going up a size might as well look at a reasonable lift...... damn that's spiraling just as I'm typing it....

    I'm in Nanaimo. On the mainland I would have been looking at North Shore Offload or a few others, and I can head over if it's worth it, but figured local could save a ferry trip and that whole PITA.

    West shore spring has been my go to place...located in langford https://www.westshorespring.com . I've had suspension and rear gear work done by them. The quality of work has been good so far.

    I had a friend use island spring in ladysmith without compliant http://www.islandspring2010.com . No personal experience with them but they are a little closer to Nanaimo.
