    Greetings,

    I'm planning on purchasing some under body armor for my 2020 TRD ORD in the next 6 months.
    My Tacoma is my daily that I occasionally take on logging trails, overlading or mudding and am armoring up for the occasional encounter with a stump or hidden rock and I'm trying to decide between these 3 companies, I personally prefer to try and stick with one brand for a category of components opposed to mixing and matching components that have branding engraved or carved into them, so far my current thoughts are are;

    - RCI
    Good overall design and variety of products for the Tacoma as well as I already have a few RCI components on my truck but I've not really be satisfied with the overall QC and handling. If I were to continue ordering from them, I would purchase the items bare so that I can have powder coating done locally or just hit them with some Por-15 so that I can touch up, grind down or fill in any substantial defects as well as not be concerned with the powder coat being chipped or gouged in transit. Their support has been stellar though.

    - C4
    Their armor appears to be very durable and well designed, although likely a bit heavy and overkill as I don't really see myself rock crawling.

    - Victory 4X4
    I really like the look of their skids and rear modular bumper as well as the wide array of customization options. They however don't seem to offer a rear diff skid for the 3rd Gen Tacoma, which both RCI and C4 do.

    For Bumpers I'm learning towards The body armor Hi-Line in the front and either the Body Armor or Victory Strike in the rear as the BA Hi-Line to me looks a bit cleaner around the edges then the Victory equivalent. I like the look of the RCI Pike bumper but need to retain the factory hitch in the rear as I occasionally tow near the Gross Limit and need a rated hitch receiver.

    All three are good companies with good products. Pick the ones you like. I'd get all the front skids from a single company so they fit up well, but otherwise there's no reason you have to stay with one brand for the rest unless that's just what you have your heart set on.

    For skids don't worry much about the powdercoat/paint finish. When (not if) you hit something with them, they are going to get scratched but that's what they are there for. Get over it. Beat them up. Have fun. Then in a couple years when they are mangled and scratched worry about re-coating them.

    Bumpers pick the ones you like. They will probably all have beefy recovery points built in, but if they don't find one that does.
