So Ive had my MX4 installed for about a week now. After removing/reapplying the weather strip on the mountain rail finally got it finished, Now my bakflip cover won't fold up and rest on the cab and I'm not sure if its just the design or a user error

Heres a video showing/describing the issue. 3 min long, I show the problem at the 1:05 mark. I wanted to post it as a sort of product review/question if its working properly. I watched several install videos and I'm 99.99% sure i installed everything correctly.

I know this is an older thread but there were a couple of questions/issues in the video, first the panel with no locking latches is designed that way, if they put a set of latches on that panel it would not fold up tightly or correctly, that is why there is not a latch/lock on the second folding panel.

As for the panels not folding forward and resting on the back of the cab I am going to say that is a user install error of some type. I have had two BAKFlip MX4 covers on Rams one a 1500 and the other a 2500 both with a 6' 4" bed and were four panels and both of them folded up and rested on the cab. I had another BAKFlip MX4 on a Ram 1500 with the 5'7" bed that was a three panel, the three panel MX4's have a latch/lock on all three panels and it folded up and rested on the rear of the cab as well.

I have also seen a video of a long bed Tacoma with the BAKFlip MX4 and it as well folded up and rested on the rear of the cab.

Something on the install of the one in this thread is causing the panels to bind and not allow them to lean forward against the cab.

Looks like the rails have to be pushed back towards the cab more and then it should rest against the cab window .
