If its anything like the 10 speed in my 2018 Raptor... it's a shit show. If people think the tacoma auto trans shifts like crap... you would absolutely hate Fords 10 speed, between its skip shifting and constant gear hunting makes for unpleasant experience (look at fordraptorforums) at how many are being bought back due to issues with the eco boost and trans. Nothing like cruising at 70 and then have the trans slam down into 1st gear and stay locked there... That is the last Ford I will ever buy.

Decently fair video considering it was made by Toyota. But if I was in the market I wouldn’t base my decision on a video by a dealer or manufacturer. They’re bound to be bias.

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
I just bought a '20 TRD OR and for me it came down to 2 things: Engine and Transmission.

In terms of engine, EcoBoost is a turbo GDi which produces more power and torque with less fuel, you're adding a big failure item to the whole system. You better be keeping on oil changes, intake cleanings, high quality fuel... etc. I personally will take a NA engine vs forced induction. I liked the fact that Toyo is using an MPI cycle along with GDi. My last car struggled with intake deposits big time (and engine reliability - enter Hyundai Theta II).

Transmission wise, I was worried about shifting in the Taco but sounds like they got the hunting issue resolved via TCM update. Ford has not had a good track record with their trannies (recent class action with PowerShift).

If I can't trust the automaker with their powertrain, how can I buy into their product long term? If you squint your eyes to those things, Ranger is a much better truck... on paper.
