I have my exhaust dumped past the rear axle. I had a video from my gopro but unfortunately the hard drive it was on died :annoyed:

I can snap a few photos of my setup. Its a magnaflow muffler with 2 1/2" pipe. I can also try and do a quick new video with my gopro for you. I have an external mic for it so that should help capture the sound better.

@Toynado cut off my stock exhaust a couple weeks ago. Can grab a photo later. Are you looking for a sound or just look of it. Cut off on a stock one you can hear a slight uptick in sound but its still super quiet. Mainly done for clearance reasons. Grab a saw and go for it.

I cut mine right after the muffler, little increase in sound but other than that no change. Looks cleaner for sure. If you end up not going all the way over the axle and cut at the muffler like I did, make sure to make the cut at a down and in angle or you will coat your shock with soot and blast it with some serious heat.

It will not sound any different. The muffler is still there. Makes a little more drone since it comes in under the bed/cab

Pretty much what he said. I will snap a photo of it tomorrow just so you know. Either way for the mean time just cut the thing off. Looks better and you get some clearance for wheeling.

Sorry this took so long. Here is pictures of my setup. I need to re-attach the last hanger as I found out from the pictures it's come off. I did a video with my iPhone but sound is terrible. I'll see if I can do one this evening with my GoPro and external mic.

I have a Magna flow that made it a bit louder but not overly load. Then hated the sight of the tip coming out the side as well as the exhaust making my white truck dirtier. Paid a muffler guy $10 to cut it and way better. Its a bit louder but not too bad

That's what I have. Can't recall the series of muffler but it isnt overly loud. No drone on the highway. If you rev it you know it's not stock. If I had an open element air filter it would make it a bit louder but I run the stock air box and OEM filter.

I have only a hotspot connection where I live so uploading the video I made to YouTube is super slow. I'll check it tomorrow and post it as soon as it shows available. Just did a video of Start up and some mid range rpm rev's.

Probably getting a 22" magnaflow on Amazon. $100 or so. Having shop install since my welds suck so cant even imagine under a truck. Either #12576 (center/ center outlet) or #12586 (center/ offset outlet). Already cut pipe after axle and with stock airbox think this would open it up slightly and give it a slight growl or farts depending on who you ask. Any body have a similar setup or either of these models? Would one be better. Believe they are same just different Outlets

I sawzalled my off at about that same point. :sawzall:
Hardly noticed any noise difference but I didn't do it for that. I did it because on the last wheeling trip I did if I hadn't I would have flattened that fucker on rocks going down the Devil's Staircase off the Broken Arrow Trail by Sedona, AZ. Banged the crap out of my receiver hitch recovery point and for sure would have smooshed the tailpipe on that trip.
