    Gonna be boosted soon ;)

Nice, I was considering Canon, but then I realized I was more comfortable with the Nikon.

Mount your camera on a tripod. Put the camera into manual mode (M). Adjust the exposure and shutter speed until it is marked at -2, then take a shot. Adjust them again until you get to 0, take another. Then adjust to +2, and snap the last one. Now merge them together in a software called Photomatix Pro.

    Google does wonders brotha.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
I've tried that but apparently i wiggle the camera too much to get consistent pictures. My dad has a d300 and it does it for you. I messed around with it and got spoiled

Try harder or get a remote lol. I am not sure what else to tell you.

Turbo, the TRD S/C is junk on those cars. He should be safely at 8 lbs. putting about 300 WHP to the ground.

Geez!!! R stickier tires going to be mounted cuz getting that much power down with fwd would be limiting on stock economy rubbers.

The D300 has true HDR...what you see in the pictures is enhanced HDR...hopefully I will be upgrading to a D300 in the near future...

Well from my understanding of how to properly use HDR is to correct shadows in images or blown out portions. It's to level the shot out so nothing is underexposed or overexposed I hope this makes sense to you guys?

My buddies and I have had this talk a lot because a lot of them are purist and don't like the fancy HDR stuff they see now...

This is a proper HDR shot...

    as is this one...

this to a lot of people is the correct form to using HDR...now the new D300 has a feature call ADR (Active Dynamic Range) which is not full on HDR but helps fight out a lot of the overexposure and underexposure when activated in the camera settings...It's a pretty cool feature that I have used on my buddies D300 and I def look forward to getting my hands on one.

Also on a side note I am by no means putting down any HDR Shots I on the other hand love those artsy HDR shots and wish I could them myself I just have not gotten the hang of it I need someone to show me the ropes! (Waiting for Viet to do his HDR Write up)hahaha...

True HDR can only be done with at least 3 shots and only results in post production through a merger. You can make an HDR shot with just one image, but it will not look the same and will not give you the same opportunity to capture the wide range of exposures. You will actually need a camera that will take pictures in RAW NEF format.

The first picture is not correctly tone mapped (notice the middle left of the image in the ceiling/dome and top right). There should be no harsh shadows or washed out areas...

I was not aware that I am making a tutorial, byt why the heck not :D

If you still don't understand it ,although sirmarlon explained it well, or you want to learn more wikipedia has a pretty good write up about it.
The pic of nyc is my favorite on wiki's page.

Somebody had mentioned they had troube holding their camera still. You could try this-- put it on bracket then use a remote release and fire off three shots without even touching the camera.

I was the one who mentioned it, and not all cameras have bracketing modes.

Bracket mode will snap the pics for you. No need for a remote. Sadly, my D40 does not have that feature.

    Correct.

On my d50 I have to press the shutter release for each exposure of the bracket so I guess that's a newer thing or something my cam is missing.
