Vinyl Deterioration

I have a 2019 DCSB, the vinyl between the front side window and rear side window is starting to deteriorate and you can see some of the white paint underneath. Would this be something that Toyota would cover under warranty?

 

On a truck that new they SHOULD cover it. Take it in and ask, and let us know what you find out

from the picture I can’t exactly see what you are talking about

 

Depends on what mood the service writer is in. They could say it was caused from the stuff you use to wash/wax your vehicle.
How old is your truck and does it sit outside a lot? I ask this because that vinyl will peel off, but there may be a chance of different shades of color now depending on those factors. Several people have removed it.

 

I updated the photo attached, check out the arrows. It doesn’t bother me much now but I’m just afraid it’s going to flake off more and get worse as I continue to wash the vehicle.

 

if the truck is relatively new you can just peel it off. I took it off my truck about 8 or 9 months after I got. It's just the truck paint underneath.

Lol. I’m a fan of our POS trucks but I’ll take it in and see what Toyota says. I like the vinyl looks so if they can fix we’ll keep our vinyl.

 

Those are probably from stones and they won’t cover it

 

If they don't cover it (probably not) just take it to a place that does vinyl car wraps to have all 4 vinyl decals replaced

OP you need to clean your camera lens and retake the picture

 

After looking further, I think your truck is going to be a total loss. You should just part it out.
