I wouldnt think vinyl on the wheels would hold up well...maybe if it was just a street queen.

The latest vinyl available is amazingly durable. No it won't shield from gouging rocks but that's not to be expected either.

    No problem
    Thank you

Well I just got my vinyl letters in and the install did not go to well. The problem was with separating the vinyl from the backing, I had one hell of a time peeling the vinyl off. I had success on one letter but it was not fun. The other letters were just about impossible to separate cleanly. I know I may be the first person to have install problems, but this did not end well. Frustration kicked in and they went into the trash can. I have installed letters like this before on my Camaro, but they were not vinyl, and they had a true adhesive peel and place backing. If anybody finds something like this please let me know.

I am not knocking the product, if the release from the backing was cleaner and easier it would be fine.

OP is there a reason you went with individual lettering instead of using a layer for transfer. Jw

Using transfer tape is only possible if the surface is flat or the letters are thick enough to "fill" the stamped area. It would be impossible to apply the very thin 951 vinyl in one shot using transfer tape and get them all centered.
The letter used on the video posted earlier are thicker so they could be applied in one shot with transfer tape. Those letters actually fill in the "holes".

If you read through the thread you'll see others had issues although not as bad as yours. I had issues with a couple letters sticking but was eventually able to find a section of the letter that I could pull up on. Maybe you got a bad batch, good to see the seller sending out a replacement.

Taco tailgate.jpg Put mine on today. Maybe I am just used to putting decals on models and such. I didnt have an issue. flicking at one edge get them to raise to peel. Did it on my lunch hour. Took about 25 mins.

Okay! Install complete. Can't say it was that easy... The vinyl is INCREDIBLY thin. So thin, it's delicate when installing. The vinyl will easily scratch, crease, and distort with too much pressure. I would definitely recommend if someone is new to this to have a pro install it.

With that said, it looks great. I'm a little nervous that my install was too sloppy to be able to say that it will hold up over time, but we will see.

Thanks. I'm in the process of blacking out everything. Dipped all the badges and replaced the bedside decal with a matte black one. Tinted out the windows. Dipped the grill. The only thing on the truck that isn't silver or black are the tail lights.

That looks perfect! I tried the flicking thing for like 20 minutes on one letter and could not get it to separate. Your truck looks great.

Well, guess I'm not going to drop by! Besides being 3000 miles apart...it's friggin cold there! Bummer, would have liked to help you on the letter install.
