Can you put these through an auto car wash or use a pressure washer on them?

Should not be a problem. You can vinyl wrap your whole car.

I'm on my 4th set of wheels for my 16 including the stock wheels. and she doesn't even know about the last set I bought a couple months ago since I'm storing them at work till I buy new tires during spring.. When I was younger what I used to do was tell her I ordered what ever it was I wanted. Then I would gauge her reaction If she was really pissed I'd tell her I was joking. But if I felt I could manage as soon as she left the room I'd go online and order.. Worked for many years.. Now we've been married long enough I dont care any more just order what I want and put in some overtime to make up the difference.

OP - now that you got your wheels darkened you may be able to just get the new ones and just put them on without her noticing. Kind of like hiding it in plain site. Let these modified wheelz marinate and meld with the look of the car. When you get the new ones the change in look won't be as extreme.

It's like the modded one's are a temporary decoy to allow you to slide into the new ones without her noticing.

Then again this probably won't work...:anonymous:

I’m 55yrs old... I’ve been married for just over 30yrs, I was “happy” for the first 20... now I’m not sure if I want to kill my self or her... you’ll see at some point in time.

Not a bad idea but no need. I will get my wheels in a couple of months. Been married too long to play those kinds of games. She is not against me getting the wheels. She just doesn't want me to do now. Like I said, i just spent 40k on my truck. We just paid another 10k in properly tax. And on Monday we are shelling out another 5k for her Lasik surgery.

The wheels will have to wait.

Besides. I had to go and married a smart one. She would know they're new wheels.

    Sorry to hear that man.

I will be 47 in just a few days. I've been married for 26 years. Together for 29. Gonna sound corny but my wife is my best friend. I couldn't be happier. Smartest gal I ever met. Doesn't nag. Takes good care of me too. Cooks, cleans, etc. even though she's got her own career and earns just as much as I do.

I remember hearing something like this in high school..... it was a short story/novel class, I learned a lot from those lessons and try to apply them to real life situations and guidance in present time, but then I have to remind myself we read mostly fiction.

I hope one day I'll find one of these unicorns, you give me hope.

Love how this thread became a relationship thread. Haha.

Marriage is a tough nugget for sure. Got to put in a lot of work. Great though when you find the right one!

Right! The whole wife thing in the title was meant more as a tongue in cheek thing just for laughs but it seems like it's what many focused on rather than the wheel mod.

I bought these vinyls last week, so thanks for the detailed instructions. Unfortunately it sounds like I shouldn't even bother trying to put them on until it warms up... It's been cold here in New England.

    Again... Thanks for the details.

That's because there is only so much to say about covering your wheels with stickers. The whole "wife not letting you spend her money", though, that is a bottomless pit of hilarity. :D

Invest a couple hundred dollars in some Cryptocurrencies, and when you start making some money use that to fund your mods. I invested a $1,000 in September and today I'm up to $6,600. I screwed up because my nephew was bugging me over a year ago to jump into Cryptocurrencies, if I would have listened to him I could have bought a TRD PRO cash!

    Good point. And her money...

Whem it comes to our finances, she's always right. She's an accounting major and most of her career she spent as a financial analyst.
