How much will it end up costing to do the entire truck? Also, does it hide scratches and deeper gouaches? Will you be off-roading this truck any? I'm sorry if I have to many questions, I'm just a little curious.

That's a sweet color. I also am curious what kind of prices you're looking at to wrap the entire truck if you don't mind

How easy is it to tear or chip the vinyl?
I imagine it is pretty thin, no?

I'm in the process of doing some interior parts on mine and this stuff is a bitch to work with! I can't imagine doing it in large sheets like you.

I'm probably $490 for 5x50 3M roll of vinyl. Feels thin but once you peel back the paper it's pretty thin. To get the air bubbles out there is a lot of pulling and tugging. The vinyl is way tougher than I thought. We tried to be careful with it. It does need to be removed heated and streched more than once sometimes

What is this? Is it a tick-on vinyl of some sort? What's the durability?

It's just a vinyl wrap. They're pretty damn durable. There are a few guys out here with they're long travel Tacoma's and Tundras's wrapped and have been wrapped for a few years now with out any problems. It hold's up to on and off road debris fairly well.

The wrap continues. It got late on me maybe I'll put up some day time pics tomorrow. The part that took the most time was the little plastic part that sits in between the grill and bumper. Due to taking the bumper off and trying not to scratch upon reassembly. Doors are next and then the dreaded cab. One step at a time

Looking good man. That is a great undertaking and impressive. I like the patients you have displayed with this project.

    That is cool.

I could of sworn that was black until you said it was blue, then it looked blue lol.

    Cool project.

This is looking good. I was considering either wrapping or plasti-dipping my truck as it needs a paint job, but I have dents and stuff which will show so I have to get those out first. Which would be better overall? Pricewise, durability wise, etc.

I heard that dents show up big time under vinyl. I had two pretty good size door dings popped out earlier this week

    Loving the black/matte blue combination.

Sub'd to see how the pillars and door jambs go. Do you plan to wrap the door jambs or will they stay gold?

Thanks guys. Truth is we're just going to wing it and hopefully adapt as the project moves forward. I plan to have as little gold as possible. The less difficult way off doing the cab means that I'll have seams. Doing it the other way means I'll be wasting a lot of material. The doors are next and after that I'll be able to see how much material is left and what route to go. I'll update and post pics as I go

Good deal. Can't wait to see the results. I used to have an '87 pickup with badly oxidized paint. I considered wrapping it but the big turn-off for me was that every wrapped vehicle I had ever seen looked good until you opened the door and the jambs were a glaringly different color.
