Grease everything up, like I said jack it up and turn the wheels in neutral and see if there's any noise coming from the diff.
    3 things"
*diff (dump the fluid and check for metal shavings, if none present just use the same fluid if you want)

*driveshaft (grease all fittings, I doubt u joints are the issue?

*tranny (worst case scenario, take it to a shop and have them check it)

I just got my tranny rebuilt with only 87k miles on it.

Forgot to ask, does it do it at take off? @jeg0005
If it does, tranny for sure.
If it doesn't, you've got lucky and gonna save thousands.

Does it do what at take off? Occasionally when cold it would take some gas then "clunk" and lunge forward. But once it warmed up, it didn't do it. On warmer days, it doesn't do it. If I back out, shift to N, then to D without applying the breaks it doesn't do it.

I don't have an driveshaft boot like that either and would be surprised if that's the transmission.
    Just some thoughts:
Transmission: Get rolling, put in N and apply brakes. might rule transmission out.
My brain goes to making sure the u-bolts are torqued correctly and I'd aim to blame the diff.
As for your comment about warming up, seems these transmissions like to "lunge" forward sometimes when cold. usually settles down after a while.

Keep us posted on what you find. hope the suggestions help in some way.

Check the rear brakes, reminds me of my fiancé’s jeep. Same concept was happening, I removed the rear drum to find the brake pads in pieces.

Yea, I think I'll start there and hope that's the issue since it's the easiest fix. Luckily, if it is the rear end, I have a complete rear end that I'll be putting in soon. I may not even worry about fixing it, but I'd like to get a diagnosis just for the sake of having the knowledge.

I would just lube all the zirks because it should be done anyway, then pull the drums off and see what you’ve got. Order of simplicity. Go from there.

Stop driving it before it does damage to the transmission. Drain the differential fluid and check for metal parts or shavings in the fluid.

Lubed all the zerks a month or so ago. Going to try and go pull the drums real quick before work. I’ll update as I know more

So I just tried to stop it using only the parking brake and there were zero clunks. Didn’t have time to pull the drums off before work. Going to try and do it in the morning

Only drove it once since I took that video, to my buddy's shop where it will stay until I figure the issue out.
