    It's so damn ugly around here. If it wasn't for deer hunting in Illinois, I think I'd pack up and search for a better view.
    Several years ago I went to my buddy's wedding in Montana...I'd never seen real mountains before. I spent 3 days with my mouth hanging open. Amazing!

    I love it when we have blue skies and white mountaintops!
    Last year I finally visited Montana and found it to be beautiful and the people very friendly. I would consider living there. Perhaps when California finally stops swirling and goes down the drain, I'll take another look at the Big Sky.

    The mountain relief is really something here on the east side. I took these pictures from the Inyo Mountains at 9,500'. The Sierras across the valley are 14,000'+. That puts them 5,000' taller than the camara's point of view!

    That's what happened to my buddy. He took a train to East Glacier, he said when he stepped off the train he knew he'd never come back to Missouri. That was almost 30 years ago and he's still there.
