I've never tried Poughkeepsie, and never ridden it on my bike either. Always been curious though. Now I'm glad I haven't tried it in the Taco, guess I'll just pedal down and find a creative non-highway route back. :D

I was using it in 2018 due to the pollution from Kilauea volcano, in Kailua Kona. Very useful.

I wish, Met the guy who did take that last one. Very dedicated and much running around the mountains at night for me to get sunrise shots. Think my best photo is the one in my avatar, got completely lucky on weather, light, etc.

Another guy I met in Ouray years ago but I think he now lives in Crested Butte.

Looks like snow Possible Monday night and more likely Tuesday night at elevation for a good chunk of Colorado. Usually has detrimental effect on Aspen leaves/ color if its windy to.

Had Brown Dog in Telluride and wasn't disappointed. Thanks for the suggestion. Also had a pretty great meal at the Outlaw Saloon in Ouray. It was expensive as hell but the best chicken fried steak of my life and I've had a lot.

@Natenite Not sure if you've already headed out here or not, but fire blew up yesterday to 34k acres and the park has shut down Old Fall River Road as well as pretty much everything north of Trail Ridge Road and west of the Chapin/Ypsilon/Hagues ridge. https://www.nps.gov/romo/learn/fire-information-and-regulations.htm

The short beginning of Antero and the short stretch of Tincup on the west side near the top (last I ran them/knew) was one of the rougher patches for most trails you've mentioned and in the area. Most things in Crested Butte aren't any worse - Slate River, Washington Gulch, going up to Paradise Divide... Based on your description you probably do not want to cross Schofield and head down into the Devils' Puchbowl, however if you take Kebler Pass all the way through and around north you could come in through Marble and get up to the Crystal Mill (see photo above). If you don't take Kebler all the way, it's still worth the drive at least part of the way as one of the top aspen areas, at least assuming that works out this year. Bit of a trail above Lake Irwin and camping there. Ruby Anthracite TH further west is a nice hiking trail for aspen. There's a ton of good hikes in the area in general.

I think that this thread misses the biggest heads up for people coming to Colorado. This:

Thank you, sir! Good info. Yeah, that top section of Tincup had a tricky spot that took us a while to find the right line. Kebler was on the list for the aspens for sure.

Yeah, quite the drop! But, it looks like we got lucky for our trip, should be back to sunny for a time while we are there.

Hey all, wife and I are visiting Telluride 9/27 and would like to run Imogene (if weather allows of course). I was hoping to find someone wanting to join up. Ive ran my fair share of tricky trails up here in Oregon but I know the wife would feel more comfortable with us running it someone that has ran it before. I drive a 3rd gen w/ rear locker on 35s. I’ll have plenty of Oregon craft brews onboard and my parents taught me how to share. Pic for attention (yes I know my rig is the lamest in the bunch)

Edited to add that @In4aride might be joining up already but was thinking more the merrier

If you want to run it 9/27 I think that’s the only day I’ll be able to. Was hoping to run it towards Telluride. I have to get all the way to the Grand Canyon 9/28 so wouldn’t be able to run anything 9/28 sadly.
