Yes it should work. Is there a gap in the track for the tonneau near the tailgate? I can't really tell from pictures. The harness has plenty of slack to accommodate a lowered rail, but my concern would be getting the wire harness neatly out of the bed via the bed rail cap and routed to behind the tail light where the relay will be.

I’m guessing the light kit will just be further down than it would have because it’s under the tie down track, which gets relocated down by the tonneau?

Here's a photo of mine, tried to post earlier but couldn't. I was curious about the light from VLEDS being too long and running into the tie down or getting in the way of using the tie down at the front of the bed on the wall.

The tie-down is toward the head of the truck bed -- one option is to stop the light run short of the tie-down if it's going to be an issue. The harness splits at the tail light and runs into the bed on both sides via the bed cap. The side closest to the relay just goes from the tail light mount > up to the bed rail > and then into the bed. The side farthest from the relay goes from the tail light mount > down along the bumper > up to the other bed rail > and then into the bed. So both sides have their own feed from the relay -- this prevents you from needing to run a wire across the bed of the truck. With that said you can mount the second light on each side just short of the tie-down so nothing needs to run past that point.

Perfect, should work fine then. Now I just wait to see the launch. :)

So to clarify, what's the operation with the factory bed lights already installed?

Will these work alongside stock bed lights if you have them?

Yes they work alongside the factory bed lights. The added function of the new lights will be an automatic trigger when the tailgate drops. So essentially the tailgate will act as an additional door when the cargo light switch is in the door setting.

For the initial launch we have a neutral white color. Shortly after there might be other colors if demand is high enough and those will probably be available on their own like the footwell lights are.

Is there any chance this can work with an AC if you purchase the cargo light switch and install it, or is there additional wiring that would still be missing?

This is a very cool kit!

I haven’t tested it but I’ll bet if you purchase the switch itself you can get a new switch panel from @GuildOutfitters with a provision cut for it and it’ll work. Even though the truck might not be pre-wired for factory bed lights you would just be using the OEM switch as an SPDT and it should be plug and play.

Front page updated; pricing will be $220 for the full kit. Pre-orders will happen in early November from your favorite retailer with delivery well before Christmas -- the kits are nearing completion. Also added more photos. We will get some more night shots sometime in the next week or so :hattip:

I have gotten a couple of questions about compatibility with the switch illumination harnesses that plug into the cargo light switch. I hate daisy-chaining multiple harnesses into the same switch so if you already have one of my switch illumination harnesses you can just unplug the 2-pin connector and replace the main harness with the one in this kit. I left the appropriate wires to plug the 2-pin connector that runs to your switches right back:

    IMG_9915.jpg

The 2-pin for your bed lights and the 2-pin for your switch illumination are opposing-gendered and labeled so you can't mess it up... I hope.

I'd be interested in a color or multi color option like the footwell lights if offered. Red and white or aqua and white would be neat.

    Only interior mods so far
Can’t wait for these as my ‘19 SR5 doesn’t have any bed lights, and I need something.

plus all my interior lights and taillights are already VLEDS

I'm in for this as well. If there were a convenient way to control my topper overhead light with the bed lights, that would be the ideal scenario.
