We'll be going to North Bay. What do you suggest for camp site? Think the Jame Bay lake site at the end of D5 will be taken on Friday?

Meh I doubt it will be taken, but I have never been to that site.

I suggest this campsite. It is not on VMUTS, but on the way to it. It is my favorite local swimming beach. Always empty. It has several campsites.

The trail to get to teh campsites starts here

So you go out towards VMUTS just like normal and turn left onto Widdifield station rd.

It maybe tempting to setup and camp on the beach, as it is long and has an area that people do that. I do not suggest driving on the beach. Everyone burns pallets and old used wood at the 1/2 way point of the beach, right where they camp. I have cleaned up nails and screws off that beach like 5 times. They just keep doing it.

I made a huge mistake saying I can go out Friday :bananadead:

It is our 5 year wedding anniversary and we are going out for dinner. So I can join Saturday morning, and will camp out Saturday night.

anything works for me guys. I'll be rolling in around 5am. So the plan for me is to get 2-3 hours of sleep b4 the day starts. If we can't decide on where to camp we can always set up a meeting spot for saturday morning and a time to all meet there. Just an idea..

Nope nope nope. This will not be some fuckfest of 'where is everyone?'

Meeting places and points will be fully set out before anyone leaves on Friday.

We are currently deciding where they are camping Friday.

    agreeded.

ok so I'll be getting my couple of hours of sleep at the campsite you posted up. That seems to be the shortest distance from my place.

    Cool,

With a beautiful beach to take a dip in the morning. I love swimming there. I may go meet the guys on Friday evening just to take swim before we go out for dinner. :fistbump:

Supposed to be like 28C on Friday here. But rain that evening.

Yeah we'll camp at Otter Lake Friday night barring any unforeseen issues so just meet there. If for some reason we need to go to another site, I'll post it here.

Yeah Otter Lake is the one Wes suggested in post #25. It's outside VMUTS, west of hwy 63

Widdifield Station Rd is hardpacked dirt, smooth enough for Google Street View to map it, so you don't need to air down for it.

if you guys want to try a new camp spot within VMUTS, this one is one of my favs. Easily accessible and room for 4-5+ trucks.

    Allright then

I will follow Daks there as I've never been in that area.

Some prep done so I'll be bringing some stuff for everyone

Gazebo (might rain), two meals (dirty chicken wraps and gourmet hot dogs) and a breakfast

I don't know if it'll be enough to keep you all fed so bring something as well
