I just finished the install and for a non gear guy it was very easy. I did have to dremel one spot and a few other minor rubs to get the bolts to line up. The kit came complete with everything I needed. I didn't get the RAM air scoop version but in hindsight I should have. There is a empty hole where the RAM tube goes on but nothing to cover it with. So I picked up a rubber 3" plumbing closure from HomeDepot. Start to finish just over an hour. I took it for a quick spin around the block and it does sound nice :)

The scoop will draw the same exact temps as ur stock intake, and the same as the volant pulls as it is.

At approx 40mph the stock intake draws ambient temp air.... buy a scangauge or ultragauge and u can see for urself.

    Save ur money.

Thanks for the tech info bro. Getting it scoop separately is double of what it cost in the complete kit so I won't bother with it now. This makes me feel a lot better about that decision.

Ur welcome... ive had some doubters, but the simple way to check is watching temps with 1 of those gauges, or even a smart phone and a cheap $5 obd2 wireless adapter.

Cruising at that speed rlly does pull ambient... and ive seen heatsoak vanish with just a semi amount of throttle effort... all ya gotta do is give er a lil oomph if u dont see the temps go down, and the soak is gone.

Amazingly even the k&n draws ambient and its got a pretty weak design imho.

    Enjoy!

I just ordered mine, I did get the scoop because of all the sand I'm sucking up from the wheel well.
The scoop should allow more and cleaner air flow. But we will see.
