I really was thinking about 0 offset though but didn't want buyers remorse. I still need a proper photoshoot and to trim and see where I stand on the happiness scale. I'm toying with the idea of dropping down to 16 and with 0 offset.

Well the 16's look better anyways but tire options are worse.

Spread the word, do not order from Vivid Racing.
Multiple (professionally worded) communications sent to them regarding sending me the wrong wheels have been met with silence.
These are the wheels I got:
    IMG_3171 2.jpg

I am resigned to the fate of the non-m spec wheels. The good news is that after mounting them, because my truck is white, the machined part actually works and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Still would have preferred the m spec though:

Barely a 3" lift, only have a little rubbing on tight turns.
    17" -20
    295/70's

    IMG_8939.jpg
    IMG_8941.jpg

Here's another interesting thing. I currently run a KDMax tune on the highest (sport) throttle. After dropping literally 10lbs a wheel the throttle response is most definitely more sensitive. It's interesting to note that wheel weight has such a noticeable effect on how hard the drivetrain has to work to get that weight rolling.

So, I do have a set of dash white m specs on order - should be here in a few months - ordered on July 2nd. NOT ordered from Vivid - ordered from System Motorsports - Thomson Ho is the owner/GM and a super nice guy and a Tacoma driver who actually responds to emails.

If you're in the market for a set of these wheels, order from System Motorsports or Showstoppers. Vivid Racing can eat a dirty dildo.

Truck actually looks pretty good with that version of wheel. Vivid blows - they're local and I won't even order from them. Their customer support is ass. Have had a good experience dealing with Showstoppers for my wheels and lugs (they're doing what they can with the parts shortages).

The f**king IDIOTS that mounted my wheels w/ caps didn't install any of the o-rings and apparently just tossed them in the trash :annoyed::facepalm: Didn't realize it til I went over a few speed bumps and heard the caps rattling around. I went to Ace Hardware and grabbed some o-rings that did the trick, though they were certainly beefier than the og Rays rings.

so I asked Chuck at Showstoppers if the bronze caps you and I have come with o rings and he said they didn’t. Are yours pretty snug?? Did you add o rings?

If anyone needs an extra center cap I’ve got an extra cause I made my dealer buy me a new one for losing my o ring

I finally got off my ass and installed them, you’re right it does get stuck on the hub after taking off the wheel.

The Rays LPS caps Don’t Need or Come with O rings, only the other variant caps come with the O-Rings and yet they still aren’t really needed B46F532C-5469-41E2-A48D-5A4DB13A0BCA.jpg

Ha I wish. Roll down your windows with no o rings and you’ll be going crazy wondering where that rattle is coming from

Yeah I can unfortunately attest to this. The shop who put my new tires on a few months back inexplicably didn’t reuse the o-rings and I was going nuts trying to figure out what the rattling was.
