Seriously, please enlighten us. Keep in mind they need to be true die-forged (not billeted out of forged blanks), and constructed & tested to the same high standards (at minimum VIA, JWL, and JWL-T).

 

Yep, rolled the dice but hope the engineers at Rays factored the prevalence of large PCD used on 4x4 into the design. We shall see.

 

I find it hard to believe that the bulk of TE37 large PCD are on 2WD vehicles.

 

Find me another 16lb truck wheel…..esp for a fraction of the price. And forged too? So much misguided information in your post.

Except in this case the TE37s are the spacer lift and Trail Readys are the suspension lift

 

I understand what you're saying, but DAMN!!!!
They would certainly help with unsprung weight, but that price though.
My Konigs look like them, so I'll just keep rocking these until I hit the lottery.

Yeah, they're forged beadlocks.

 

Or you can start with Volks and do an OMF beadlock conversion and have a forged beadlock wheel that only weighs about 22lbs

 

They're not as appropriate for offroading though. The extra weight isn't just for funsies, they're much stronger. You won't find anyone running TE37's in the SAS or Long Travel subforums but you'll find lots of TRs... but nobody really cares about unsprung weight there.

I'm not actually trying to start a holy war, I was just poking fun mostly. TE37s are coolbeans.

Joking aside, lotta folks run Trail Ready's for the strength. TE37s look better and are probably better on the road with the unsprung weight but I'd be maybe a little concerned they'd crumble into a flat plane on a landing.
