Just joined the club! TE37X 16x8 -20. Not my first choice in size or offset but found these locally basically new with tires for a steal so I figured it was now or never. No rubbing at all with daily driving on the 23 pro suspension either! If anybody in WA state is interested in trading for some 17s lemme know

    A couple questions:

I’ve read that using the center caps makes the wheels hub centric as it makes the centerbore smaller? I think the centerbore for Te37X’s are 112…with the center caps I measured 106.2 or very close.

Are there any recommendation on lug nuts? Mine came with the steel rays lug nuts but they were starting to rust…tried cleaning them up with white vinegar and CLR but it only got rid of a few spots. Are the aluminum duranuts worth the extra money or should I just buy a set of new steel nuts and coat them with fluid film?

Will OEM tpms work with -20 offset? I’ve read that they do and don’t

I’ve got a brand new set of the Rays lug nuts in red that I was going to list for sale. I also have a new set of the black center caps with red letters that I’m looking to sell.

Recommendations for what sockets to use. Went to rotate tires today and realized needed thin wall socket. Figure I would get a non marring set.

Just bought some Rays05x 17” bronze and thinking about going for some low cost black ones for now just to get them on my truck but maybe someone has a link for something they’d recommend?
In the long run or at least within the next few months I plan to get some rays L37s or L42s. But I just need something quick and affordable. My current lugs are the gorilla ones with the extended end per Stealth Custom Series specs. any suggestions?

Aluminum nuts are trash. Stay steel. Project kics are nice. TPMS will work.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
Second on Project Kics. They are super light and have a rotating seat so they won't scratch your wheels.

I have the R26 on my old S2000 for 7 years and I would still use them. I'm currently using the R40 on my Tacoma

Dumb question but would the project kics also work on other wheels like the oem pro wheels or are they specific to volk/rays wheels?

I believe all OEM toyota wheels use mag type lugs which are not compatible with acorn style lugs (project kics, rays, etc)

Needed more caster and some additional cutting on the cab mount. My previous cmc wasn’t aggressive enough so I’m getting to redo it.

Woke up to a pleasant email this morning. The bronze 17x8.5-10 TE37XT I ordered at the end of April have shipped from Japan. Should be here next Weds/Thurs according to FedEx.

Definitely worth the wait. Saved ~$1200 by ordering from a reputable Japanese site rather than a US based seller back when then yen was doing poorly. Only downside is they're the JDM version with the fully engraved lip.

If anyone is interested in a set of 17x8.5 -10 in Matte Army Green, I will likely be selling them once I mount the bronze.
