Wheels showed up today. Very happy.

Going to sell the green set once I swap the tires. If anyone is interested, I'll be listing them for $2600 + shipping. All wheels are perfect aside from the one in the pic with that small nick in the lip (top left of the wheel) thanks to Discount Tire.

 

Damn that sucks about the chip on the install. I have my set of 5 mag blues still in box waiting to be squeezed into some of those new KO3's. Do you think using some painters tape around the lip and center bore could help prevent installation damage?

 

It wouldn't hurt. I just hope whoever I get to mount tires on these won't mess up the bronze finish since it's impossible to replicate and I'm not waiting on a replacement.

 

Been looking at the TE37XT for my gen 2. Is everyone running these on extended studs?

I agree. I'm kind of a traditionalist when it comes to those wheels. Bronze or white for me. I'm not baller enough to drop the coin for them so I got 9SIX9's on mine.

 

The trick is buying direct from Japan while the yen is low. I paid $2398 shipped and used Paypal credit to get them interest free for 6 months. If I had got them from a US retailer, they would have been over $3600 + tax/shipping. At that price, I would have passed and kept my green set or got a set of Stealths

 

That's cool. Still too rich for my blood.

 

Honestly, it was for me too, lmao. Had to justify it somehow.

I'm not above buying reps either. I actually got my wife some Gram Light reps for her 4Runner. She didn't want to spend the dough either. These were $800 shipped from Circuit Performance.

 

Looks nice. I don't wheel mine hard at all but I have loved the TE37 type wheels on import performance cars for probably 30 years.
