I got bronze. Undecided if it will be on the Taco or 4Runner.

 

How can I get my hands on a bronze set? I’m ready to purchase

Update on the special colors per Rays Japan.

Unfortunately, we were notified they have been having some issues on these finishes and Rays were not satisfied with the final production with the XT. We are very much as disappointed as you guys on this. There is no current ETA as of this moment. If any current pre orders have any questions, feel free to reach out to us via PM. I am out of the shop due to personal matters for the remainder of the week. So, I do apologize in advance if you do call in and there is no answer. Normal business hours will resume on Monday afternoon when I do get back.

How is this going to impact the 2nd set of orders? Could this mean that the 2nd set of special colors could ship at the same time or around the same time as the 1st set since they could catch up in the manufacturing process?

 

How does this impact the ship date on the other colors?

 

Bronze and Blast Black colors have shipped and people have posted pics of them.

 

I am aware that the 1st order of wheels having made their way to the owners; does that statement apply to the 2nd of wheels?

 

Gotcha. From what I understand, no..it doesn't. I was able to get a set of Blast Black last week (2nd batch/shipment) and I was on the list since the beginning for DDGM.

 

I scrolled through this thread... a 2 year wait?

 

I am now wondering if the corona virus will affect shipment on top of Rays unhappy with their final product...

 

Yes..indeed. I think i put down a deposit in Dec 2017.

Edit: I've been waiting for 2 years, or more depending how you look at it. I think original ETA was April of 2018. Its 2020 and I just for the Blast Black which is my 3rd choice of color.

 

Good point, but unless they are getting any paint..or wheel material (which i doubt) from China..it should be fine. I'm still curious why they can paint/coat other size wheels in the exact same finish but its different for the 17"s for whatever reason.

 

I understand the materials but as far as shipments, they will be on cargo ships which visit ports. Depending what ports they go to, it might slow things down a bit more. And great point on your last sentence.
