Volk Racing TE37XT 17x8.5 FIRST LOOK

Bump, looks like this thread is dead? I'm looking for a set myself in 17x 8.5 -10 in bronze. on a stock height sport 3rd gen 4x4. Starting here before looking further.

 

Hit up system motorsports, I think they has a shipment coming in, but given the delays with the shipping freight companies and port backlog, it might be a while.

I had the 17"s but switched over to 16", so if you're open to that, ICB has a set of broze 16x8 -0 and -20 in stock.

 

Thanks for the reply, I just bought tires so for now I'm somewhat stuck in 17 for the time being. I messaged showstoppers on Facebook and got nowhere and am unsure of Vividracing and Evasive. I don't mind a wait if I get a good deal but obviously I'm shooting for a decent time frame.

Why the switch to the 16?

 

Try calling showstoppers, they’re pretty good about answering the phone. I don’t think I’d buy from vivid or evasive, never had good communication with them on small items.

I switched because I wanted a different color wheel, got tired of the blast black, so switched it up to matte blue gunmetal, additionally I came to not really like the VOLK RACING etched on the lip.

 

What is the difference between the TE37XT and the TE37XT M-Spec? Both are available in 17x8.5 -10 offset and does anyone know if these will clear the 6 Piston Stoptech BBK with 340mm rotors?

 

Only difference from the two is M-Spec does not have machining on outer lip.
Not sure about the brake clearance.

Showstoppers has more sets coming in 2-3 months they told me, but to order 1 wheel would be 12+ months. That's why I'm trying to find 3 people to split a set with me to have a spare each in a couple months.

 

smart. I noticed they went up in price as did raw materials now. SS charges tax and shipping right?

 

My buddy got a good deal a month ago on some. I guess it depends if it's 'in stock' and they want to move them or if it's something that's pre-ordered. If someone wants to get a set now, I'm sure they'd charge full price for the incoming sets.
I got my set through another vendor at a good price though that had it in stock and was wanting to just get rid of their last set.
