Neither. Save yourself headache, and money get a set of FN counter steer type x instead. Cheaper, light and great color options. As well as not having to wait 8-10 + months long. Just sayin….

Volk is a better wheel but the benefits of forged over flow formed doesn't really apply to 4 wheeling. For auto racing its huge.

My vote is for the Volks but I'm biased. Figured if I purchase my grail wheels out of the gate, then I'll never need to buy another set.

 

Seems reasonable actually, then realize it turns a $3000 set of wheels into $5000 wheels, but at least the ring is replaceable when you fuck it up

 

SCS not even in the same realm as Volks.

 

How is forged better for racing? genuine question

Short answer, lighter and stronger. Less rotational mass on a race car makes a huge difference. Plus the added strength is desired when you may be throwing a 100k+ car into a corner at 3 digit speeds.

 

Times have changed, but the sad wheels haven't. Hahaha!
