    17 pounds for a 17x8.5 truck wheel is pretty damn impressive.

    yep, and if you do stuff like replace the stock brakes with a Wilwood kit, you'll drop literally another 17lbs PER SIDE of unsprung weight, and you'll have an entirely different driving vehicle.

    you'll be broke, too, but y'know...

    It's all good. I sniffed that out.

    I like the 4Runner / 2nd Gen Skewp a lot more and was generally indifferent about the 3rd Gen one until I rode in a few ORs. I liked the cleaner view from inside, so I got more serious about the swap. We're still both happy about the exchange.


    Those early Sport wheels are about just the saddest OE alloy wheels, except for maybe the original SC430s? About the only time the Sports look good is rolling down the highway. I'm wanting either 1st Gen Tundra wheels, current Sport wheels refinished in black, or SCS F5s or Blaze10s. The Blaze are sitting on the top of my list ATM. Definitely sticking with 17s.
