Volt hid high beam not working anymore?

    Hi everyone, so i installed a set of bolt 6k HID's in my taco about 2 months ago... Everything went smooth and worked fine. both the low and high beams... Today i noticed the high beam wouldn't come on when I tried on my way home? Could I had damaged them by flashing other driver driving without their lights on? this is my first set of HID's

    There is only one bulb in there, sounds like your solenoid has quit working (it moves the little shield to let out more light).

    ok thx. I sent volt an e-mail but gotta wait till monday or later for a response. Hoping to fix this asap but if the parts are bunk I cant do anything about that. Just seems odd that its switching from one side to the other. heard one guy say on hear that he had a similar issue bc his battery diidnt have the power for all his electric accessories... Was hoping that was it lol.

    Try putting the "working" connector on the "non-working" bulb and see what happens. I don't think your battery is the problem.

    Thx! Sometimes its the passangers side that out and sometimes its the drivers side. Not trying to sound stupid but wouldnt that mean the harnesses are fine? I will try your idea though for sure

    To me, it sounds like it could be a short of sorts in the harness, I'm just fishing here. Your bulbs are good or not, they ain't going back and froth from good to bad.

    thats what im thinking. bulbs are good im pretty sure bc they both do work just not at the same time...

    To me, that means your harness has a short (something is grounding at times not at others). Bulbs are good, I'll wager.

    roger that. I'll be switching them over and seeing what happens in the morning. Also i'll mess with the ground wirs and check all connections again. also gonna squirt come electro grease in the connectors to help with moister getting to them.     After speaking with a rep from kbcarstuff.com who was really confused when i told him my issue... I just unplugged and replugged all connections with bulb grease reconnected the grounds. Everything's working fine now and has been since monday. Im going to watch it though. Just thought id throw an update out there. thx again for your help t4daddy!
