Maybe you should contact Toyota and see if they would like you to consult on why a majority of their ORs are making this howl. I'm sure all of us would love to get a fix for this. I think most of us here have decided that its a ring and pinion issue but since all of us are still under warranty--we are just *patiently* waiting for them to come up with a fix.

Bro, we're not talking about Chevy's here. Toyota's can make god awful sounds for thousands of miles till there is an actual problem.

Now yes that's true, don't make it right. It's just retarded to have a thread about radio volume instead of actually getting a solution

Yes, because none of us have actually started any threads already about possible culprits and fixes for it. We just wear noise cancelling headphones when in the truck. :lalala:

This was on the top of the page and unfortunately I clicked on it... I wear noise noise canceling headphones or a helmet when I offroad, but that's because of rollcage noise not broke ass crap

I've always found it amusing the need for those to flex their internet muscles. But regardless, you do what you need to do to be happy. Not sure why you bothered to comment here if you don't have any helpful to contribute and "wasted" your click and yet, still "wasting" your time here. Good for you, buddy.

I was getting an idea if people's howling was getting louder as they put more miles on their trucks or if the noise has stayed the same volume. Anyways, enjoy your truck.

Side note: I hope you don't have this mentality with people you deal with in real life cause it won't get you very far.

It's one thing to be honest and to the point, but going around calling people retard seems like a stretch. Walk along the street and call 10 people retarded and let me know how many steps you get in. I hope you outgrow this childish stage, or your parents really failed you.

I checked mine and with the regular FM Radio I seem to be right at the threshold of drowning it out and hearing it right at 31, its been 1000 miles since it started and I don't think it has increased in sound but now I have a baseline to go by.

I've been measuring mine for weeks with my radio volume. I can hear it when my volume is on 38. I just hit 2900 miles. 2017 OR. Otherwise my truck has been flawless but this is inexcusable for any modern day manufacturer to have something like this leave the assembly line, especially when so many are affected. I love my truck but this is beyond ridiculous. I'm taking it in either next week or the week after and my dealer said my issue is a routine warranty issue since I'm not on the recall. There is nothing routine about a rear diff howling on a new truck. Mine started around 1000 miles.
