    A couple of things.

My volume is different numbers depending on CD, AM/FM, Bluetooth, or XM. Hard to gauge.

I've also developed bat like hearing so I can hear it no matter what I listen to.

I haven't told anyone else who rides in my truck* yet about it so I waiting for a "what's that noise" as my gauge.

I like the thread though OP. Trying to see if it gets louder. So far I don't think mine has after about 2k.

It is weird that once you hear that sound for the first time then its hard to miss after. My Volume is also different depending on what I am listening too so I chose an FM Station that I listen to frequently to baseline it.

You want bad? My 14 year old daughter asked what that whistling noise was while we had the radio on. My wife also notices. That's enough for me to say it's loud enough for it to be an issue. I also stated in another thread that I had been tracking mine with the radio volume because it's the only way to accurately tell because now that I know it makes the noise the OCD kicks in and the bp starts rising every time I drive it.

With mileage (10K), my speed range to recreate the noise has increased but the noise level hasnt really got any louder though. Mine is also very temperature dependent. This morning it was 45F ambient, and it howled like a banshee. But on the 65F+ days, its not as bad.

    Good ol 400hz sound!

I almost miss it driving this 4runner loaner.
I also thought my rumble strips vibes had gone away, until I drove this that absolutely doesn't have the vibes. Its showing me how much my truck still does it.

Ok so I tested it today. Bluetooth-Marty Robbins from my phone. Could hear the howl at 38-40 volume level when I hit the sweet spot of about 54mph.

I've also started hearing the howl starting at about 50 all the way to 60mph. Kinda like a bell curve for noise soft-loud-soft again.

Someone in another thread mentioned it might be a carrier bearing... I wonder how'd you test that. Maybe a shim?

@smitty99 , you mentioned when you did the lift the howling went away for a while then started to come back. Has it returned to the original noise or has it been better?

Funny cause when mine started it was exactly at 54, l do not think it has gotten louder but the range has increased from about 54-59.

It is less pronounced but I definitely still hear it. It's just not as obvious. I don't feel it has changed any since I installed the lift in the past month and 1400 miles.

Now @smitty99 , If we had input from you on the FM radio volume before and after the lift we would have something .
