    Ordered the VE37's earlier today.
MK6 were my second choice, but i really wanted Bronze this time, and the Bronze MK6 were a bit too bright in color for my liking:rolleyes:

    Just got my wheels delivered!
They look just as I hoped for!
I dont think they will be mounted before next year as winter season has just started here in Norway, running studded tires for now until then. Will update you guys once they have been mounted.

Good evening Arne, I assume it's evening there at least. Would you mind taking a picture of the back of the wheel where they ground off the VTX makers mark?

I'd confirm it for you right now if I still had one off my truck. You have no reason to believe me I know, but I for sure saw the remains of Varrstöen (VTX) where they didn't quite grind away all the casting on my set of 5 wheels.

its a safety thing. I do alot of pretty rough wheeling now so i dont want a wheel breaking on the trail.

I carry 5 of em for the same reason. This particular design when done by Volk is forged rather than cast for this very reason. Whether from VTX (Rich Varrstoen is just cheap wheels with a greasy smile) or not I wouldn't bet the farm on them, but I very highly doubt with 5 on board you'd be stranded. I actually doubt with four you would be, but I understand the concern and shared the same idea.

Mine was just a bare aluminum spot on one of the backs of the spokes.

I have a set of the 17x8.5 bronze Vors ve37 . My daughter has 17x8.5 vtx terras on her Tacoma. The wheels look and weigh identical but the offset on the Vors are 0 compared to the -10 on the vtx....both are 106.1 hub bore. Both Vors and vtx have VIA/JWL marking near the valve stem....VIA is a third party test of JWL wheels and keeps data on these. On the back of the spokes on both, there are markings indicating back space and weight as well as VIA. There’s no specific model number cast on back of the spokes on either Vors or vtx. There is a “FM290” cast on both.... (these both do weigh 23lbs per my digital scale). The vtx do have “Varrstoen” cast into back of one of the spokes. The Vors leaves this spoke blank but there is a blank raised flat spot cast similar to the vtx but no “Varrstoen” on it. (Sorry, wheels are mounted and couldn’t get a decent pic of the backs of spokes).

The Vors most likely come from the same factory that casts vtx and many many other wheels. But I kinda doubt these are vtx “blems” that have been repainted since 0 offset isn’t offered by vtx in 17’s.

My set of Vors balanced out great with my general grabbers atx and my truck drives fine. I don’t “hard core“ wheel and mostly street drive though. The finish is a darker matt bronze (grainy) finish. Actually good looking knock offs!

I'm gonna have to take one of mine off, it would make sense that they changed the casting to just a raised bump if they're making money off them in larger quantities now. Mine are definitely just a sloppily ground off Varrstoen casting.

Are these wheels flow formed or cast aluminum?

You can scan VTX for than information, but the cost would suggest cast

I’m sure these are cast...but fairly light weight compared to some other 17x8.5” cast wheels.
This is the best pic I could get of the raised blank spot. I didn’t notice the “C” and “C” earlier...the other back wheel has a “B” in that same area. My fronts, one has a “B” and one has an “F” on that area...on my daughters vtx’s all have Varrstoen cast there.
One of the spokes (backside) of each wheel has “Model No” cast into it. Not sure if No would indicate “number” or is the actual model.
